Mentored by the likes of Catherine Kasavuli and Katua Nzile, my career in media began unexpectedly by answering an anonymous advert followed by attending a series of interviews in a lengthy grueling elimination process. After lots of seemingly endless screen tests I was eventually selected and began work as a reporter and eventually rose on the job to become a presenter and producer.

I worked for KTN for about 5 years, wrote a column on image, on women’s fiction and on travel for The Standard as well as edited for Standard Online-the digital arm of the business.
